How to make Sura puttu
Shark or Sura:1/2 kg
turmeric powder: 1 tbsp
Water to boil
For preparing puttu:
Oil: 2 to 3 tbsp
Chopped onions: 2
Ginger and garlic pieces
Green chillies: 2 slit
turmeric powder: 1/2 tbsp
Salt: As required
Oil: to drizzle
Boiled and crushed sura or shark
Pepper powder: 1 tbsp
Coriander leaves: to garnish
Into a bowl of water add shark pieces and then add 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder.
Boil it until the shark pieces softens or cooked well.
Once it’s done remove the skin pieces from the shark pieces.
Shred the fish pieces well with your hands.
To prepare puttu into a kadai add 3 tbsp coconut oil.
Add mustard seeds and allow it to crackle.
Add curry leaves, ginger, garlic pieces, chilli pieces chopped into the oil.
Saute it well for few mins.
Now add chopped onions to it and saute it until its color changes.
Add 1/4 tbsp turmeric powder and saute it until its color changes.
Add shredded shark pieces.
Saute it for few mins.
Add required salt and 1/2 tbsp pepper powder.
Drizzle one tbsp coconut oil to it and mix it well.
Saute it well.
Yummy sura puttu is ready. Have it with rice as side dish.
