How to make spicy vegetable Sambar

INGREDIENTS
Pressure Cooking Ingredients
  • 200 grams Toor dal
Other Ingredients
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • ½ tbsp mustard seeds
  • 2 sprigs curry leaves
  • ¼ tbsp asafoetida
  • 1 tbsp chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp sambar powder
  • 1 Brinjals
  • 6 to 7 Beans
  • 1 diced carrot
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • half a lemon size Tamarind
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 4 sprigs Coriander leaves

Method:

Add oil into a kadai, add mustard seeds and crackle it.

Add onions and saute it well.

Now add chopped tomatoes and add salt.

Saute it until tomatoes are mushy.

Now add beans and carrot and saute it well.

Add all spices and saute it until its raw smell goes away.

Now add boiled dal and saute it once again.

Add tamarind juice to it. Add salt and ¼ tbsp asafoetida.

Now Cover it with a lid and cook it for 10 to 15 mins in medium flame.

Vegetable Sambar is ready.
