How to make Onion Coconut Chutney

Preparation Time : 5 mins
Cooking Time : 10 to 15 mins
Serves: 4

Ingredients:

Oil – 1 tbsp
Dry Red Chilli – 3 to 4
Garlic – 3 to 4
Onion – 1 large chopped
Coconut – 3 tbsp
Tamarind a small piece
Salt to taste

For Seasoning:
Oil – 1 tbsp
Mustard Seeds / Kaduku – 1 tbsp
Urad dal / Ulundu Paruppu – 1/2 tbsp
Curry leaves a sprig

Method:

Now heat oil into a pan, add dry red chilli and garlic. Saute it for few min.

Add onions and cook it for 5 mins.

Add coconut and combine well. Cook it for a min.

Into a blender, add salt and tamarind. Grind it to smooth paste. Take it into a bowl.

Heat little oil into the same pan, now crackle mustard and urad dal. Add curry leaves and combine well. Pour it over to the chutney and mix well.

Serve.
