How to make Keerai sambar
Any variety keerai cleaned and chopped
Boiled toor dal: one cup
Oil: 3 to 4 tbsp
Curry leaves: Little
Mustard seeds: 1/2 tbsp
Chopped onion: 1 no
Chopped Tomatoes: 2 no
Green chillies: 1 to 2
Chilli powder: 1 tbsp
Coriander powder: 2 tbsp
Turmeric powder: 1/4 tbsp
Sambar powder: 1 tbsp
Salt: As required
Tamarind squeezed water: a cup
Hing: one pinch
Into a kadai add oil, add mustard seeds, curry leaves
Wait until it splutter. Add chopped onions and saute it well until its color changes.
Add chopped tomatoes and saute it well.
Add little salt and saute until its tomatoes are mushy.
Now add chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and sambar powder.
Saute it until its raw smell goes away.
Now add cleaned spinach and saute it until its raw smell goes off or the spinach shrinks.
Add cooked toor dal to it mix everything well.
Add soaked tamarind water to it.
Add salt and hing to it.
Allow it to cook for 20 mins.
Yummy keerai sambar is ready to serve.
