How to make Egg Paniyaram

Eggs – 2

Dosa Batter – 1/2 cup

Onion – 1 medium size

Tomato – 1 small deseeded

Green Chillies – 1 finely chopped

Curry leaves (tender) – a sprig

Coriander leaves – 1 tbsp finely chopped

Turmeric powder – 1/8 tbsp

Salt as needed

Pepper powder as needed

Oil – 5-6 tbsp

Water – 2 tbsp



Chop onionsm green chillies and tomatoes finely.

In a bowl, break two eggs, add turmeric powder, salt, pepper powder, 2 tbsp water and beat it with a fork until u get a foamy. Combine it with dosa batter.

Into  the batter add finely chopped onion, tomatoes, green chilli, curry leaves and coriander leaves and combine well.

Your Egg paniyaram batter is ready.  Heat paniyaram/appe pan, add 1/2 tbsp of oil into each hole/cavity.

Now fill each cavity with the egg paniyaram batter. Cook it covered on low heat for few minutes.

Now flip it over and cook it uncovered on low heat for about 2 to 3 mins. Flip it over for about 2 to 3 mins if required until both sides are browned well.

Remove it from pan and serve hot with tomato chutney or spicy kara chutney.
