Fish – 500 grams cut into chunks
Drumstick / Murungaikai – 2 cut into pieces
Tamarind – a small gooseberry size
Green Chillies – 3 slit
Curry leaves a handful
Salt to taste
Coconut Oil – 2 tbsp
Fresh Coconut – 1 cup grated
Shallots / Sambar Onion – 6
Soak tamarind in little water for 10 mins. Squeeze and strain it separate.
Take grinding ingredients into a blender and puree till smooth. Set separate.
Into a kadai take drumstick, water, curry leaves, salt, green chillies, ground masala and combine well. Bring them to boil and simmer for 10 mins until its done.
Now add fish to it and cook it covered on a low flame until the fish is done.
Heat oil into a small pan, add into curry leaves and pour this over the curry.
Serve it with rice.
