How to make Carrot Cinnamon Cake
- 100 gms butter
- 100 gms castor sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tbsp vanilla essence
- 1 tbsp cinnamon powder
- 200 gms flour (maida)
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tbsp baking soda
- 50 gms walnuts-finely chopped
- 175 gms carrots (2 carrots)-peeled and grated a drop of orange food color,optional
Sieve flour with baking powder and baking soda.
Cream the butter and sugar into a bowl until light and fluffy.Add essence and beat once again
Add 1-2 tbsp flour and half of milk. Combine well with a spatula. Add remaining milk and fold at the remaining flour.
Add cinnamon powder and grated carrots to batter and fold gently. Add color if needed.
Pour into the big square silicon mould, sprinkle walnuts and bake at 180 degree C/250 degree F for 35 minutes.
