Punjab is one of the famous place for mouth watering cuisine starting from Haar Saag to Phirni, each and every Punjabi dish is simply special. One among the tempting dishes is “Besan Ki Burfi”. This sweet is easy to prepare with simple ingredients that are available in your kitchen. Its made with high richness of gram flour, raisins, cardamom powder, ghee and powdered sugar this delectable recipe will be a treat to your taste buds.


Gram flour (besan): 2 cup
Raisins: 20 gm
Ghee: 20 gm
Powdered green cardamom: 1 tbsp
Powdered sugar: 2 cup
Pistachios: 20 gm


Take non stick pan, just keep on medium flame and heat gram flour to it. Saute it for about 10 to 15 mins.

To gram flour just add powdered sugar, pistachios and mix well and remove the pan from flame. Stir cardamom powder and raisins in this mixture.

Take a tray and grease it up with ghee. Transfer the mixture to try and spread it evenly with greased spatula. Cut the mixture to desired shape and after it cools down and serve it.
