How to make aloo matar masala

Potato (Aloo): 1 nos

Peas (Matar): one cup

Onion: 2 to 3 tbsp

Sliced onions: 1 nos

Chilli powder: 1 tbsp

Coriander powder: 1 tbsp

Garam masala: 1/2 tbsp

Cumin powder: 1/4 tbsp

Turmeric powder: 1/4 tbsp

Dessicated coconut: 2 tbsp

Cumin seeds: 1 tbsp

Chopped Green chillis: 3 nos



In a Kadai add oil mustard seeds wait until the mustard seeds crackle.

Add onion and ginger garlic paste. Saute it well

Now add cleaned potato (aloo) and matar (peas) into it.

Add all spices mentioned under ingredients table.

Saute it well until its raw smell goes away.

Grind dessicated coconut with cumin seeds by adding little water.

Now add the coconut masala paste into the sauteed aloo matar.

Add little water and allow potato and peas to cook well.

Add salt to it.

Once it’s done. Serve it with chapathi or dosa or idly.
