How to make Date and Walnut Cake
- 1/2 tin condensed milk (200 gm)
- 1/2 cup (60 gm) oil
- 250 gm dates
- 1 cup less 1 tbp (85 gm ) flour (maida)
- 1/2 cup walnuts-chopped finely
- 1/2 tbsp vanilla essemce
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tbsp baking soda
Remove seeds from dates and chop them finely. Add 6 tbsp water and keep on low flame. Add 1/2 tbsp baking soda. Keep separate for 15 to 20 mins
Sift flour with baking powder. Mix dates and walnuts with flour.
Beat oil and condensed milk very well. Add essence. Mix. Add flour. Beat well. Bake in preheated oven at 150 degree C or 300 degree F for 40 minutes or until its done.
